So a fan character without a sprite set or a voice? Ignorring the fact that the roster was insainely hard to program this time around due to a intertesting menu, I just simply do not use fan characters.... that dont have a root in the main stream. (ashura glitch, wechina glitch, cream doll logical fan char)
The 'root' of Mechapocalypse is that he will be made by me to be the most advanced morphinoid robot, and the basic design for some of his forms are derived from Metal Sonic's designs. However, I am using Mechapocalypse in a few roleplay forums on Gaia Online. Perhaps Mechapocalypse could be counted as a modified copy of Metal Sonic.
